Friday, October 24: Umatilla High School Middle School Night (Returning Students)

YMCA

Parents, I know a lot of you are aware and concerned about the YMCA now charging for after school. I sent an email last week letting you all know that we will not require your students to be in the YMCA for any band things. Students are to come straight to the band room for any required after school rehearsals and may come right after school for any open practice days.

I will let you know through the Weekly Music Notes if there is a day that I cannot do after school.

Festival of American Anniversaries Band Field Trip Recap

Thank you to everyone who made this field trip happen! It seemed like everyone had a blast getting to explore Stetson’s beautiful campus, along with seeing some art and the performance! Feel free to email me any photos!

Middle School Night (Returning Students)

On Friday, October 24, Umatilla High School will be hosting their Middle School Night! Middle School Night is an opportunity for 7th and 8th grade students to play with the high school band! They get to jam out in the stands and run out on the field to play a tune with the marching band during their halftime performance!

Middle School Night Itinerary

5-5:15pm - Check in with Ms. Pyburn in UHS Band Room

5:15-5:30pm - Meet and Greet with High School Band with Show Preview

5:30-6:15pm - Pizza Social

6:15pm - March to Stadium

7-9:30pm - Football Game

9:30pm - Estimated Pick-up

December 8: After School Beginning Band Rehearsal REQUIRED, 4:15-5:15pm

December 8: After School Symphonic Band Rehearsal REQUIRED, 5:30-6:30pm

December 9: Winter Band Concert, 7pm UHS Auditorium

Upcoming Pass-Off Performances!

Students can attend a music concert as a pass-off AS LONG AS THERE IS A PHOTO OR VIDEO! I will also accept a program if photo or video cannot be taken!
