I hope everyone had a wonderful break and holiday! Here is what you need to know for this upcoming week.
Week of December 2 - 6, 2024
Monday December 2: Students Return to School
Tuesday December 3: Umatilla Elementary School Christmas Concert, 5:30 PM
YMCA for Band
Please make sure your student is signed up for YMCA if they want to be in the band room after school. This is the process that our entire school has to go through. BEGINNING BAND: You have an after school rehearsal next week so please make sure that you are signed up for YMCA!
Starting in January, Symphonic and Jazz Bands will have after school rehearsals to prepare for our Music Performance Assessments. MPA is a very important performance, which will require for some after school time. STUDENTS MUST BE IN YMCA IN ORDER TO ATTEND.
Otherwise, the band room is usually open after school. This week it will not be open after school on Thursday, December 5.
Reminders
STUDENTS PLEASE BRING YOUR INSTRUMENTS AND MUSIC! We have a concert in 11 days, which means we only have 9 rehearsals!!!
Any assignments that are marked as NHI in gradebook means that I do not have that assignment. Students will have until December 13th at 11:59 to turn in any assignments in order to be marked complete by this grading period.

December 4 & 5 - The Gift to the Community, 7 PM News Journal Center, Daytona State College (Ms. Pyburn is performing with the Daytona State Jazz Band on tenor saxophone! Come Say Hi!)
December 17 - Umatilla High School Winter Showcase, 6 PM
